KAREN MILLEN OPENS AUDI JOBURG FASHION WEEK.

For those of you who
were there, thank you for attending the Karen Millen fashion show in support of the Shaun Borstrock Foundation for the Creative
Industries. It is very exciting to launch the Foundation in collaboration with such a prestigious British fashion company
and at Audi Joburg Fashion Week.
Our mission is to mentor, nurture and empower young learners and emerging designers
within the creative industries in South Africa by providing them with international experience to help them achieve their
entrepreneurial ambitions. As you are aware, there are thousands of young people in South Africa who have ambitions to succeed
in the Creative Industries. Some are fortunate enough to have had an education, others have not. Some are in employment, some
The Foundation aims to help disadvantaged and emerging young learners and designers in their bid to a
successful future through exposure to learning opportunities with international partners. The foundation will offer opportunities
to young learners through an international summer school run by the University of Hertfordshire and will continue to forge
links with local and international educational institutions, industry partners and government bodies.
